This picture was my first feeling about creating and frequently updating a blog. The ideas of an appropriate title for the blog took way too long and too many attempts. Everything I entered, someone else had come up with...so much for embracing individuality. Sadly, after reading others' blogs for ideas, HA!, about mine I came to realize that maybe this isn't a bad thing after all. All too frequently there are communication gaps with the "unknown society". This should be an interesting semester getting to know other people in the class that will help me improve my writing and will allow me to return the favor.
There was also too much time spent on finding pictures that I felt would fit into the rhetoric I am supposed to be writing about. This image immediately made me think, Order and Chaos, would be a great title for how I perceive everything around me. Life is all fine and dandy until someone comes along and bursts your bubble. It may not happen immediately or seem very gradual but when the transformation takes place you will know. I enjoy and despise these experiences. Getting fired from my last job and starting a new one three days later fits this well.
A 1.1 mile trail I blazed with hard work and determination; along with payment. Everyone has their own path that they create. Although this image seems as if it goes on forever, the trail is actually a loop. How about that for the conundrum of life? Through hard work I have learned a lot about other people and myself. I suppose the many deer that stalked me here could represent the spectators of my life. They seemed fascinated about me until I made any sudden movements or loud noises.
The machine that taught me about patience; or at least tried to. This 1977 Yamaha XS750 triple has been an ongoing project of mine since June of 2010. It was picked up in non-running condition for cheap; or so I hoped. The bike has given me almost every problem under the sun but has also given me 500 miles of all the enjoyment and terror I could desire."Antichrome" has been rebuilt from the frame to fully running condition. It has taught me to never take slacker's way.
